The Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation has created school kitchen gardens all over the country, with a mission to make food education fun and accessible. The Early Years Program is a more recent initiative to get gardens and healthy eating programs going for pre-school-aged kids. I worked with the team to develop an illustrated card deck to use in place of the traditional recipe format to help younger kids who can’t yet read engage with the cooking program. We also put together a set of posters to be hung in the Early Years Program centres to show people what it’s all about.
